Jonathan Neyman

I grew up in Northern California in the early 80s and was influenced right away by the large rivers right out of my back door. I was introduced to fly fishing for Salmon, Steelhead, and trout around 10 years old. Just me my BMX bike and a few flies bombing down the hill toward the river. I was enamored at all the gear at the fly shops I would visit, and after 40+ years I still am. Moving East in the early 90s I discovered the rivers of East Tennessee.

I love every aspect of fly fishing and it amazes me the places that it has taken me. I want every one of our customers and clients to experience that along with the amazing community of fly fishers I have met.

My wife and I opened our shop last year in Bristol TN to help spread the passion I have for this area, its rivers, and the fish that live in them. The philosophy of The Fly Box is “if it’s on the wall to sell, we fish it”, Hatch has been my go-to reels for the past 10 years. When my clients hook the fish of the day or the fish of a lifetime, I know my Hatch reels wont fail me or them.
