Colby Olson

Colby grew up in the Santa Cruz mountains of California with an inherent love for the outdoors. After spending the last decade in Portland, he's developed an affinity for Oregon's rivers and fish. He guides for trout, steelhead, and bass on the tributaries of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers.

A day on the water with him means more than catching fish. You'll learn about casting technique, entomology, etiquette, strategy, conservation, and ethics. His favorite types of fishing are tiny dry flies or swinging flies with two-handed rods. When he's not on the water, you can find him at the shop, in a duck blind, on a putting green, or spending time with his partner and their border collie.
