The design of our ever popular Nomad pliers creates exciting options for the avid angler. Utilizing Tungsten Carbide cutters in a side cutting position makes reliable cuts through all fishing line material easier than ever. Gripping grooves added to the jaw tips easily grasp knot tag ends for ideal rigging. The I-Beam arms are crafted from 6061-T6 Aluminum and protected with Type II anodize.
Pliers have designed gap at the jaws. Typical gap is .015". Line thickness diameter available on most manufacturer's websites.

Like the pilers and would suggest the lanyard goes to a coil verse bungle style. I’m changing as loop tends to snag on things especially moving around boat. I was glad to learn made in USA although still do not see where it is mentioned. I own 7-8 of your reels due to this fact. Thanks for making good product.

As expected, top notch tool. Hatch knows how to build a good product and take care of customers.

Overall, these are the best and most solidly built pliers Ive used. The size is perfect for large Great Lakes trout and salmon, the cutters are fantastic and the sheath is great - I specifically did not want a leather one considering the extreme temps and constant dunking it will get on my wader belt. My only complaint is that they are not true needle nose - which is not unique to these pliers, seems like a lot of high end fishing pliers are more rounded. These work just fine for removing hooks, which is ultimately what they are for, however its a bit disappointing to not be able to swap hooks with split rings that I could easily do with cheap old needle nose. Overall very happy, hope this is the last pair I'll ever buy.

Some folks may think that these pliers are an excessive purchase; but they are most definitely the best on the market. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.
I would buy another pair in a heart beat if these were ever lost or stolen.
