Our last 2025 Artist Collaboration Reel has arrived! Our final artist, Brent McCarron (@prettyboybrent), is a Big Branch, Louisiana native with 17 years experience behind a tattoo machine. His work focuses on American Traditional tattoos, Japanese Traditional tattooing and putting smiles on faces! This reel comes in a new Copper anodize with Merlot Red Paint Fill. Available in 7+ Large Arbor.

If I was stranded on a desert island and had only one reel to bring, it would be the 7+. We have sold more of these bad boys than any other size in the Hatch line up. From bonefish to permit, steelhead to carp, this reel has you covered.

Introducing, the new Magma Red-Orange Collection! Featuring Iconic Reels, Tempest 2 Pliers, & Nomad 2 Pliers in a new custom Red-Orange Splatter anodize with Black paint fill. 

Please note: because of the nature of splatter anodize, no two reels or pliers will look exactly the same.

The 3+ is capable of running 3–5 weight lines with ample backing capacity for the occasional whopper that might come along. At first glance you’ll notice this ain’t no dainty trout reel. This little wonder means business.

Introducing the brilliant follow-up in our Artist Collaboration Reel Series! Our next artist is Matt Renner (@renner_tattoos on instagram). With nearly 30 years of artistic experience and over a decade of tattooing under his belt, Matt has done it all. His work spans from hyper-realistic black and grey portraits to bold, vibrant “New Age” American Traditional styles. His art is deeply influenced by his Colorado roots and his passion for fly fishing. In this custom deep olive/bright yellow reel, Renner has incorporated his personal bold style into iconic stonefly imagery and traditional Japanese rocks and lines. Available in 5+ Large Arbor only.

We’ve used this workhorse surf fishing in So Cal, light steelheading in Oregon, chucking nasty streamers to ravenous browns in Montana, and stalking bones on the flats in Belize.
